Review- Black Label Jack Rabbit: Anniversary Edition from @CalExotics

For this month’s  CalExotics Sexpert review, I received the Black Label Jack Rabbit Anniversary Edition. There are so many rabbits on the market right now, so you should research a while before picking one out. The BLJR is a dual stimulation vibe, which is my preference these days. It also has two other traits that are my preferences, it’s waterproof and it is made of silicone.

Being that it is made of silicone, it is only compatible with water based lubricants. The tip of this rabbit is slightly rounded and looks realistic.  It has a ridge down the middle of the shaft as well, which I couldn’t feel once the toy was inserted. The shaft has a swirled design, that is purely decoration and gives no added stimulation.

The Jack Rabbit was very easy to use. The control panel is made of ABS plastic. The Jack Rabbit has 5 buttons on the control panel located at the base of the shaft. The middle button is the power button, which has to be pushed before any of the other buttons will work. The top button controls the 7 functions of vibration for the rabbit arm. The two buttons at the bottom increase or decrease the shaft’s rotation and vibration. The vibrations of the clitoral arm and the shaft can be used together or separately, depending upon user preference. The rabbit runs on 3 AA batteries. The battery cover was a bit of a pain to open and close.

The shaft is thick and gave a very full feeling when inserted. Starting out I had to use a bit extra lube, because of the thickness of the shaft. The rotations were an added bonus for me. To get any enjoyment from the clitoral arm took quite a bit of maneuvering for me. It is not something that will fit every woman’s anatomy perfectly, so you may have to play with it a bit, to figure out what works best for you.

Pros:

  • waterproof- no difference in strength when underwater that I noticed

 

Cons:

  • may not fit everyone’s anatomy
  • lint magnet
  • 3 AA batteries
  • rather loud

Overall, I would say that this is definitely one that I would consider purchasing. The Jack Rabbit should be stored away from other toys, preferably in a cloth bag. Be warned it is a lint magnet, but then again I have noticed that most of my silicone toys are. It is a turnoff that it requires 3 AA batteries, but there is a rechargeable version of this vibe available for an extra chunk of change. It is easy to clean, whether it be with soap/water, toy cleaner or toys wipes. The major downside of this rabbit for me, was the loudness of the toy itself. If you’re using this and don’t want anyone to know, be sure to turn on some music before getting started to muffle the sound.

Review- Suite Encounters edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel for @cleispress

Although I have visited many hotels, I have never had hotel sex, go figure. Reading the stories in this anthology definitely make me think about visiting very soon. You always picture someone who goes to hotels just for sex as a bad boy or bad girl, but in this anthology there is so much variety of players that there is no room for generalizations.

The stories blend so well together, it just made the experience more enjoyable.

My favorite, by far, was Tailgating at the Cedar Inn by Delilah Devlin – A woman stops to get some rest at a roadside spot, she gets more than she bargained for, in a very good way.

Night School by  Valerie Alexander involves a desk clerk teaching an escort how to be a dominate by being her submissive.

Return to the Nonchalant Inn by Erobintica- A frisky older couple visits a place they had stayed at many years ago, let me tell you the thrill was still there even after more than a decade.

The anthology was well put together and the stories were amazing to read. RKB and Cleis press do not disappoint. 20 stories to tantalize and excite. You will not be disappointed to drop your money on this great read. They hit the mark with this one over and over again. I am looking forward to the next great read from Cleis Press and RKB.

Review: Bound By Lust edited by @shanna_germain

With all of the publicity going around for the 50 shades stuff, many people are getting a taste of what many considered taboo. I will say, I have yet to be able to sit through even the first book, but I will try just so that I know what everyone is going on about. What I wonder though is, Why do people see this as the start of something so huge that everyone wants to get in on it? Great erotica has been going on for years before that author probably even thought about writing that book. There are so many great authors who write so well, it doesn’t even seem like erotica when you’re reading it. I think the best authors are the ones who write so well, it sucks you into the story and doesn’t let go til the end. That’s what happened to me when I picked up Bound By Lust.

My absolute favorite story was Spring Training by Donna George Storey. To give you a little taste about this story, this is how it should be, in my opinion.

The first paragraph from Spring Training:

First Workout
wish I’d never been with any other man but you.”
“No, you don’t.”
Josh had a provocative habit of telling me what to think.
I rolled onto my stomach to look at him straight on. His eyes
were a bewitching velvety brown, the lashes as thick as the ones
you can buy at the drugstore.
“I do,” I insisted.
“You don’t,” he repeated.
“I do. It’s so damned hot with you. The others were just a
waste of time. Pathetic, really, what I thought sex was.”
He smiled. “See, you have a point of comparison. Otherwise,
no matter how hot it was with me, you’d always wonder.”

 

I love the idea of her man laying claim to every part of her body, to wipe out any memory of everyone else that she had ever been with. Makes my heart beat fast just to think about reading this story.

These stories struck a chord with me for some reason. I am not “into” the bondage scene but these were very intriguing stories. While I am not going to run out to the store and buy bondage equipment, I might run to the bookstore to find more books like this. Sexy stories with a hint of the unknown, because you don’t know exactly how you will be affected by what you’re reading. This is definitely a book that you need to read in the privacy of your own home, at least the first time you read it. And you will read it again….

I also wanted to add that , you know how you read a book and it’s so good, but you have trouble putting into words why it was so good? That’s what this book was for me. I feel as if I can’t do justice to how awesome it was to read.

Review- Body & Soul: Elation from @CalExotics

California Exotics has some awesome toys and they have some not so awesome toys. Then there are the toys that fall somewhere in between. The Elation falls somewhere in between for me. It is a toy that strays from what I usually like, mainly because it requires batteries. After having tried some very enjoyable rechargeable toys, I try to stay away from the ones that require batteries. The Elation takes 2 AAA batteries.  It is a small, cute toy that kind of looks like a bug.

When you press the on/off button, it sounds like a flying saucer, or at least how I imagine one to sound. It isn’t a very loud toy, so you don’t have to be worried that someone will hear it through your bedroom door.

Pros:

  • waterproof
  • 10 vibration functions
  • silicone
  • easy to use
  • easy to clean
  • Hypo-allergenic
  •  Latex free
  •  Non-porous
  • Phthalates free

Cons:

  • not rechargeable
  • incredibly buzzy
It is very easy to use. One button turns it on/off and changes the vibration function.

I do like this toy, but the buzziness is a huge turnoff for me. It is incredibly uncomfortable when I touch it to my naughty bits. Ordinarily, I would use a toy like this as a teaser to the main event, but the buzziness succeeds at pulling me out of the moment. It simply does not feel good on any part of my body. It does have a lot of power, which I normally love, but in this instance it is simply the wrong kind of power. If they were to take this toy back to the drawing board, make it rechargeable and give it less buzzy vibrations, it would definitely be a toy I could use. As it stands, it just gives me a very bad sensation all over. It essentially, hurts to place this onto any part of my body. I am sad to say I was disappointed in this toy.

If you want to use lube, I suggest that you stick to water based lubricants, since this is made of silicone. To clean this toy after use, I recommend using toy cleaner, wipes or just plain old antibacterial soap with warm water. You should make sure that it is completely dry before putting it away and it would be best stored in a bag away from other toys.

On a scale of 1-5, I can definitely give it 3 for the design, material it is made of and the power behind it. I have to take away 2 stars for the buzziness of the vibrations, which was not something that I enjoy. This may be the perfect toy for someone who is less sensitive than I am.

Review- Stiletto Heels @milanoo_en

Of course, their stock photo looks 100% better than I could ever do, so this just gives you a point of reference and you can see the details on the shoe.

I recently joined a Fashion Blogger program for Milanoo. I ordered the Gothic Black Silk And Satin Peep Toe Stiletto High Heel Shoes. I was unsure if what I would receive would be good quality. I didn’t need to have worried about it. The shoes that I received were beautiful and although the fit is probably at the end of what I am able to wear, I am very happy with them. I was a little afraid to go up a size since I don’t know a lot about how they size shoes overseas. I now know that when I order some shoes, I can go up to the next size, if the next size available is European size 40 ( US size 9.5) and they will fit just fine. Now, all I need to do is get used to walking in heels this high. These shoes went just fine with my jeans and I am sure they would look great with dresses/skirts as well.

I would say on a scale from 1-5, I am definitely a 5. I am very happy with what I received. Milanoo has a wide variety of clothing, shoes, costumes, wigs, home fashions and bags. Just know that Milanoo is overseas, so know that the shipping times to the US may be longer than you are accustomed to. With Corset Chick, I know that I will get a good quality corset for a very reasonable price. They have a lot of variety, but their sizes do run small so be sure to look at their size chart before you do any ordering. Although, if you do get the a size that doesn’t fit you comfortably, they have excellent customer service that will take care of it for you.

I received the Black Taffeta Style corset from Corset Chick.

This corset didn’t work for me as well as I had hoped that it would. First off, my breasts are not flattering at all in this corset., The corset did more flattening than flattering for me. I liked the look of the corset for the most part, but wasn’t impressed by the bow on the front. It pulled out, but at least it didn’t completely come off. Tghe corset wasn’t comfortable for me for more than 30 minutes.

The good thing about my experience, however, is that I know what I do and do not like now and I didn’t have to spend hundreds of dollars to figure it out. I know that from here on out, I will be sticking to underbust corsets and there are quite a few to choose from on Corset Chick.

Operation: Fashion Blogger- Chiffon Blouse @OASAP

I recently joined Oasap through their Fashion Blogger program. In this program they give you a credit based on how many followers that you have on different platforms. You then pick something from their site to review. Sounds incredibly easy, does it not?

Well, with some help from fashion greedy/needy people (AKA teen spawn) in my household, I chose the Sweet Exquisite Lace Embellished Chiffon Blouse. The blouse got here pretty quickly considering it came from overseas. The blouse is made from chiffon and lace, with a lace stripe down each arm. The shirt has a lining inside as well. Just looking at the shirt I would have expected it to be see through, but it wasn’t. In the pictures, she is wearing a blue tank top underneath the blouse, but you can’t even tell.

The blouse feels pretty lightweight, although with the lining, you might expect it to feel heavier. My daughter and I both really like the shirt, it will be a struggle to see who’s closet it will stay in the most. To care for this, I am going to machine wash it on the delicate cycle and put it on a hanger to dry. If it needs to be ironed, flip it inside out and do it that way. No bleach and no dry cleaning this cute blouse.

The blouse goes perfectly with jeans, shorts, skirts of slacks. I love to own versatile clothing like this.

Review- Couture Collection Eclipse by @CalExotics

Being a woman with children, I am very concerned with my inner parts. I am not the same person, that I was in my twenties. There are things that we can do to get back into shape, whether it be regular exercise or eating right. A woman can do vaginal exercise with or without equipment.  The Couture Collection Eclipse from California Exotic Novelties is just such a piece of equipment. Whether you are using this to strengthen your vaginal muscles or for pleasure, this is an easy and affordable way to go.

Made of plastic and silicone, the Eclipse is lightweight, easy to use and easy to care for.  This is the first set of vaginal balls that I have tried, but it won’t be my last. After getting over being afraid to use these, they looked very big to me when I first placed them in my hand, I grabbed my lube and went about testing this set of vaginal balls. This takes a bit of maneuvering and a good bit of lube, at least for your first try.  First one ball, then the other and I hardly knew they were there. There is very little weight to this set of balls, they are only 2.8 ounces. I walked around with the balls inserted for most of the day, and I can honestly tell a difference already. The Man and I started what we thought would be a quickie before bed and WOW! I can only imagine what sex will be like after I make a concerted effort to exercise every day. Not only did I notice a difference, but The Man did as well.

After using this, I was able to clean it with soap and warm water, although toy wipes or toy spray would also be effective. I put this in a cloth bag that I had on hand, but it can very easily be put in a side drawer out of the way. I am not sure that too many people would know what this is just by looking at it. The balls come in a small, white cardboard box, that could also be used for storage.

Pros:

  • reasonable price
  • lightweight
  • easy to use and clean
  • ABS plastic with Japanese medical grade silicone
  • comfortable

Cons:

  • a little afraid of the cord snapping, it felt a little flimsy
  • some may need a little more weight for the vaginal balls to be effective
