Content /style /audience
The 18 stories are all re-imaginings of fairy tales that many of us read as children. Although most of the stories were enjoyable they weren’t all lust inspiring for me. A few of the stories seemed to have the sex thrown in as an after-thought.
Design
This is your typical trade paperback sized book. When I say trade paperback size, I mean, 8″ long by 5 1/2″ wide.It is very easy to tuck this into your purse or your backpack. The front and back covers are glossy and very sturdy. There shouldn’t be any problem keeping this book for a long time if you treat your books well. It’s all about how you bestow the love upon your books. If you don’t treat your books well, even a hard backed book could be destroyed. It’s all about how you bestow the love upon your books. As far as how discrete this book is, it is no more or less discreet than any other romance novel that I own at present. Now, some of the other books that I used to own would make this one look meek in comparison. You shouldn’t receive any odd looks if you’re caught reading this book.
Personal Comments
I have come upon several stories that became favorites after I read them. I believe that even if you don’t like all 18 stories there should be many that you find enjoyable to read again and again. To entice you as I was I will tell you my favorites and give you a small paragraph from each story, something to leave you hungering for more.
The Obedient Wife by Delilah Devlin
The sensation was almost enough to send her to that place her clever hands delivered her to nightly. He thrust and licked and thrust and licked until she forgot she wanted more.
But he withdrew, and the sound of clothing rustling stirred her excitement more. Something thick and firm prodded between her buttocks and she found him bigger than even the smithy and breathed through her nose to calm her heart and ease the tightness of her arsehole.
Three Times by Justine Elyot
Princess Ellora had never looked so serene, so beautiful or so heartbreaking. Against the bark of the silver vine tree she stood, still as a statue, her arms arched gracefully above her head. Some of the tree’s pearlescent sheen had transferred to her skin, giving her an unearthly glow on those parts of her body that were unveiled;to the rest, a togalike silken garment clung, outlining the teardrop shapes of her breasts and her lean, young hips. She looked like an exotic dancer, caught and frozen in midslink, her lips parted and the dark almonds of her eyes held in an expression of melting desire. But for whom was the Princess feeling this eternal moment of exquisite lust? Her arms and legs were crisscrossed with the winding vines and, although her dress protected some vestiges of her modesty, it was clear that the snakelike plants holding her in bondage were also performing a secondary task.
Gingerbread Man by Carol Hassler
The body-there could be no other word for it- slammed into the table and instead of the gelatinous slap of dough, a hard thud resounded, as though from bone and hard muscle. The sculpture sat up.
It was insane: it was flour and spice and sugar. But she looked at the dandy lips and the chest moving in and out, and the eyes roving the kitchen to meet her own. Her heart broke and reformed at every detail. The thing which was so like her husband, swung his legs off the table.
She backed against the counter, he stomach writhing as he stepped down. He stared intently at her. She felt nervous, confused, and strangely, deliriously happy. He wrapped his hands around her waist, stroking the thumb downward to rest on her hips. Slowly, he leaned forward, settling his weight against her, pinning her to the counter’s edge.
And last, probably my most favorite story in the entire anthology,
Ellie and the Shoemaker by Louisa Harte
“What are you doing?” I whispered, surprise and delighted by this unusual show of dominance.
” Something I should have done ages ago…” Before I could respond, Jake grasped the belt of my gown and tugged. The belt slithered through its loops and came away in his hand. Sliding his fingers under the neckline of my gown, Jake pushed it off my shoulders.
I gasped as the robe fell to the floor. Apart from the boots, I was naked.

Overall it was a very entertaining and fast read. On a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best book I have read in a while, I have to give this book a 4. No, it’s not all lusty imaginings but each story was well written. I would definitely read these stories again.
